Having witnessed conflict, displacement, hunger, poverty, and the destruction of livelihoods in South Sudan, I have often asked myself one question: How can I become part of the solution rather than simply watching others continue to suffer? That question gave birth to Heal-Tech-Zone (HTZ). HTZ is far more than a farming project. It is a long-term Agricultural and Community Transformation Centre designed to restore hope through sustainable agriculture, education, environmental stewardship, community empowerment, and practical Christian service. Rather than responding only to immediate needs, HTZ seeks to address the root causes of hunger and poverty by helping communities become self-reliant.

For many years I have carried a vision that has grown from my own life experiences. Having witnessed conflict, displacement, hunger, poverty, and the destruction of livelihoods in South Sudan, I have often asked myself one question:
How can I become part of the solution rather than simply watching others continue to suffer?
That question gave birth to Heal-Tech-Zone (HTZ).
HTZ is far more than a farming project. It is a long-term Agricultural and Community Transformation Centre designed to restore hope through sustainable agriculture, education, environmental stewardship, community empowerment, and practical Christian service.
Rather than responding only to immediate needs, HTZ seeks to address the root causes of hunger and poverty by helping communities become self-reliant.

To establish a sustainable agricultural and community transformation centre in Bazumburu, Yambio County, that helps communities overcome hunger, poverty, unemployment, and environmental challenges through agriculture, education, empowerment, Christian service, and community development.

At Heal-Tech-Zone (HTZ), estimates are calculated by assessing the resources, costs, activities, and expected results of each project or programme.

The calculation can include:

  1. Land & Agriculture – acreage, seeds, fertilizers, labour, equipment, and expected crop production.
  2. Equipment – purchase costs, transportation, fuel, maintenance, and operation.
  3. Construction – materials, labour, transportation, and infrastructure costs.
  4. Training – number of participants, trainers, materials, meals, and transportation.
  5. Food Bank – quantity of food, purchase/storage costs, and number of beneficiaries.
  6. Employment – number of workers, salaries, and duration of employment.
  7. Environmental Activities – number of trees, seedlings, planting costs, and maintenance.
  8. Administration – communication, transportation, management, monitoring, and reporting.
  9. Contingency – an additional amount reserved for unexpected costs.

We are a community transformation initiative that uses agriculture, knowledge, faith, and sustainable development to restore hope, create opportunities, and build healthier communities.
